Met with friends this March morning for coffee and such at Bite Bakery and Cafe in downtown Utica. If you’ve never been there, it’s worth the trip.
Afterwords I decided to stroll over to the Adirondack Bank Building to see if I could catch a glimpse of Astrid and Ares the famous Utica Peregrine Falcons.
Astrid stayed on her perch outside the box preening, making herself pretty, while Ares kept his distance with an eye on things from the State Office Building.
It’s a lot of fun to watch the on-line cams, especially when Asrtid begins hatching her eggs and the young chicks appear for the first time.
